This pencil sharpener was designed to utilize existing X-Acto sharpener internal components while addressing the marketing considerations provided by the X-Acto Team. The industrial design focused on the needs and preferences of the home consumer market segment.

The overall look and feel of the sharpener was aesthetically focused to fit in with home décor. Several concepts were explored, and prototypes were created to validate size, shape and feel. The color Diamond Grey was chosen to give a classic, yet modern, look. The design is versatile to blend seamlessly with many popular interior design styles.
